Note
I have found an entry in the 1841 census for Robert Atkinson married to a woman named Mary. Also at the same address was a woman called Ellen Hartley, who I am assuming is Mary's mother. There is a child, approximately aged 15, who I believe is Atkinson Hartley. He is shown here as Atkinson Atkinson. Atkinson was born two years before Robert and Mary married hence he took his mothers name of Hartley. Robert is shown as Atkinson's father on his marriage certificate, so I can only assume that Robert was actually Atkinson's father.
